The Problem
NIH lacked a uniform method of indexing and categorizing data on research conducted across NIH. As a result, Congress mandated the development of a tool to improve transparency, scientific defensibility, and efficiency in research reporting.
Our Solution
Our award-winning team of scientific information analysts (SIAs) combines biomedical backgrounds with strong technical and software skills to work directly with the NIH’s RCDC program to provide consistent, transparent reporting. Our team of SIAs helps classify NIH-funded programs as well as maintain hundreds of biomedical research categories, ranging from Alzheimer’s disease to the Zika virus.
The Results
Since 2014, our team has contributed to the publication of 40+ brand-new research categories, including maternal health, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and opioids misuse and addiction, thereby improving transparency and reporting throughout NIH.
